Venues & Settlement

Hunch connects to prediction-market venues through a common adapter: catalogue, prices, account, quote, order, positions, resolution and redemption. Each venue below plugs into that adapter. Users see one feed; the routing layer decides where each card trades.

Polymarket

Hunch is a participant in the Polymarket Builder Program. A Hunch user’s swipe becomes a real order on Polymarket’s central limit order book, carrying Hunch’s builder code.

How a trade works

1

Account

On sign-up, Hunch deploys a Polymarket Deposit Wallet for the user through Polymarket’s relayer. The user’s Privy embedded wallet is its owner.
2

Session key

The user authorises a trade-only session key once. It can place orders for 180 days and can never move funds out.
3

Order

A swipe sends one request to Hunch. Hunch quotes the order book, signs a marketable order with the session key, attaches its builder code and submits it to Polymarket.
4

Fill

Polymarket matches the order on-chain on Polygon and pays the gas. Volume and fees are attributed to Hunch.
5

Resolution

Polymarket resolves the market (via UMA’s optimistic oracle). Hunch redeems winning positions for the user, gaslessly.

Economics

Why Polymarket first

Liquidity

The deepest prediction-market order book; Hunch users trade at real market prices

Resolution

Battle-tested outcome resolution Hunch does not have to operate or defend

Gasless

Relayer covers wallet deployment, approvals, trading and redemption

Non-Custodial

The user’s embedded wallet owns the account; Hunch’s session key cannot withdraw

Kalshi

Status: Planned. Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated exchange, which makes it the route to US users that Polymarket cannot serve.
Kalshi runs its own builder programme — Kalshi Builder Codes — under which third-party apps route orders and earn up to 30% of the fees their users generate, plus any fee the app charges on top. Two integration routes exist: The route will be chosen when the integration is scheduled. Either way it becomes one more adapter: Kalshi markets appear in the same feed, with jurisdiction routing deciding which users see them.

Hunch Native Markets

Status: Planned. Hunch’s own contracts return here — for markets no venue lists — on Robinhood Chain, alongside the $HUNCH token.
Venues cover the big questions. Hunch-native markets cover everything else: a creator’s call on their own niche, a community’s question, a friend group’s wager on the weekend.

Contract design

The prototype’s contracts (a mintable $HUNCH token and a house-pool market manager on Base Sepolia) are retired. The native-market contracts will be designed around what the prototype taught us:

OpenZeppelin

Audited base contracts for token and access control

Bonded Resolution

Creators stake $HUNCH to open markets; bonds are slashed for bad resolutions

Dispute Window

Every resolution can be challenged before payout

Non-Custodial

Positions held by the user’s own wallet; no admin settlement key

Fee Caps

Platform fee hard-capped on-chain

Upgradeable

Proxy pattern for fixes without migration

Deployment plan

Hunch deploys no contracts of its own at launch. Everything on-chain in v1 is Polymarket’s — audited, live and processing billions in volume.
